Healing of Memories.
Problems in the present often have their roots in the past. If we can bring about a healing of “heart scars” from those earlier life experiences, in most instances we can break free from the bondage of psychological distress. We then can become all that God has intended us to be in the present. The Lord brings healing to our lives in many different ways. He sometimes chooses to use Christian counseling and psychotherapy as the vehicle for His healing touch. A breakthrough form of treatment for healing of memories called EMDR is available at Centered for Life.
Neurotherapy, also called neurofeedback (NFB), EEG biofeedback, or brainwave training is a type of alternative therapy, more specifically a type of biofeedback that uses realtime displays of electroencephalography (EEG) to illustrate brain activity.
Here is a “real life” experience with Neuro-feedback. In this documentary a woman asks the hard questions and gets some actual experience with this form of therapy.

Many couples get caught up in spending time planning their weddings without developing a concrete and intentional plan for a successful marriage. The ideal time to become more conscious about your upcoming marriage is when the feelings you have for your partner are positive. Pre-marital counseling can give you insight into where your particular relationship dynamics might be heading in the wrong direction. Centered for Life specializes in the use of an assessment called Prepare/Enrich to ensure a holistic and comprehensive overview of the relationship and the strengths and weaknesses that are present. Ideally, this is done in six to ten sessions.
The focus of couples therapy is to identify the presence of dissatisfaction and distress in the relationship, and to devise and implement a treatment plan with objectives designed to improve or alleviate the presenting symptoms and restore the relationship to a better and healthier level of functioning. Clients should be advised that honesty, providing all necessary information, cooperation, keeping appointments on time, and a sincere desire for change and improvement are all imperative to increase the chance of a successful outcome. Marriage counseling also focus’ on understanding both client’s symptoms and the way the interactions contribute to problems in the marriage relationship. Typically, during the sessions, we are given background information about the couple, what the current problem(s) is/are, and help the couple find a solution that is best for them. We help couples learn to deal more effectively with their problems, and help prevent small problems from becoming serious problems. A multitude of relational tools and assessments are used to maximize treatment.
